The cost of shipping packages longer than 96” has increased and we have been informed by UPS that they will gradually be raising it throughout the year. This is the new common trend with all small package carriers. 8' packages are not optimal for maximizing space on their trucks.
Lately, we have been suggesting to our customers that we should cut tubes to no longer than 90” (7-1/2 feet), so that we can keep the package under 96" and the cost of shipping in check.
Also, please consider allowing A.E.D. to cut your finished parts, as it may be more economical to use our cutting services rather than sending out a package longer than 96".
Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Thank you,
Team A.E.D.
